 Two Ways to Start the SfI Practice


       The Strengths-focused-Identity (SfI) Practice can be described as a coordinated group of activities that gradually strengthen those aspects of your self-identity that are positive. The activities have been organized into a 5-Step sequence starting with Step 1, which is recognizing and articulating Positive Moments (PMs).

       You could start Step 1 right now--and we encourage you to read the instructions and consider diving in--but we have heard that the task of recognizing Positive Moments is not that easy for some people. Mindfulness practice is one way to make Step 1 easier. If you have not had exposure to, and practice of, mindfulness, you might want to consider becoming more mindful before you start Step 1. After focusing on being mindful for a few days, it should be easier to begin.
